Finding a good Invisalign® dentist near you is the first step to transforming your smile. Invisalign® is the most subtle way to straighten your teeth. Instead of dealing with traditional braces, you can go about your daily life without much change.

Eat, drink, and talk just like you did before starting treatment. The nearly invisible, BPA-free plastic fits your teeth perfectly. It’s so smooth and comfortable you may even forget it’s there.

At Advanced Dental Arts, our board-certified orthodontist creates a treatment plan specific to you. Located in Lower Manhattan, near Greenwich, we’ve helped everyone from local residents to celebrities perfect their smiles with Invisalign.

What Is Invisalign?

Invisalign is an advanced system for straightening your teeth. While traditional braces use metal wires and brackets, Invisalign uses clear retainers. Each set of retainers move your teeth a little further into position. And they’re made special for your teeth based on 3D imaging taken by your orthodontist during your Invisalign evaluation.

As you follow your treatment plan, you’ll notice your teeth moving slowly into their final position, perfecting your smile. Periodically, you’ll return to your local orthodontist for new aligners and a quick check-up before going on your way.

Invisalign vs. Braces: Which Is Better?

Each orthodontic treatment option has its benefits and drawbacks. Traditional braces need to be used with certain conditions because they work better. And they also stay in your mouth all the time. If you’re worried about managing treatment on your own, then stick with braces.

Braces
  • Requires brackets & wires
  • Wires can poke & irritate mouth
  • Brushing and flossing require more effort
  • Many food restrictions
Invisalign
  • Clear Aligners are visually invisible
  • Smooth comfortable plastic aligners
  • Aligners are removable for easy cleaning
  • Eat whatever you want
But there are still plenty of benefits with Invisalign:
Aesthetically Appealing:

Invisalign aligners nearly invisible because they’re made from a clear material. Most people can’t tell you’re wearing them unless you show them.

Comfortable:

The metal from braces can cause discomfort, especially at first. Invisalign is smooth and custom-fitted to your mouth. You’ll barely know they’re there.

Removeable:

It’s recommended that you wear your retainers for 22 hours a day. But that means you can pull them out when you eat, brush, and on special events.

Treatment may include relaxing the facial muscles with specialized instrumentation. This will allow us to determine the correct placement of the upper and lower and jaw in relation to each other. Additionally, a custom oral appliance will be fabricated using a computer-generated design to ensure the ideal position for muscle comfort and decreased inflammation of the TMJ.

We have flexible payment and insurance options available for treatment!

The Invisalign Treatment Process

Every Invisalign treatment begins with an evaluation. Children and adults needing complex orthodontic treatment are advised to seek alternative treatment options. To see if you’re eligible, you need to visit our local orthodontist office in Lower Manhattan for a free evaluation.

During your evaluation, your orthodontist will use state-of-the-art imaging software to map out your teeth. Invisalign labs will use this data to create a digital 3-D image of your bite, digitally moving your teeth and creating a series of removable aligners. You can even see a projection of what your smile will look like once you finish treatment.

When your aligners arrive your treatment plan typically proceeds as follows:
