Conventional Braces in NYC. With a Twist.
For most people, a beautiful smile is the most obvious benefit of wearing braces. After orthodontic therapy, people feel more confident and can’t wait to show their smile! But that’s not the only reason. A straighter smile is also more likely to be a healthy smile. With the help of our on-site, board-certified orthodontist, we can use braces to make your straight smile a reality in NYC.
Ceramic braces are the same size and shape as metal braces, except that they utilize tooth-colored or clear brackets that blend in with the color of your smile. These braces are popular among adults and teenagers because they provide a more discrete appearance than traditional metal braces.

Efficient and Patient-Centric Care
Dental technology has dramatically progressed, providing our patients with more care options than ever. Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. Wires are less noticeable and methods move teeth faster with less discomfort.
Orthodontics may be recommended for also correcting these problems: overbites, underbites, crossbites, deep bites, crooked teeth, and misalignments impacting the TMJ.
Patients also choose traditional braces for several reasons:
- Ability to address moderate to severe corrective needs
- No temptation to remove them or forget to put them back on
- Cannot be lost or misplaced
Your appointment will begin with a consultation where our orthodontist will conduct a clinical exam. During the exam, we’ll take impressions of your teeth and capture a series of diagnostic x-rays. We’ll then discuss treatment options based on an analysis of your exam with you. Afterward, the orthodontist will make slight adjustments to your braces to move your teeth into proper alignment every four to six weeks. Typically, our patients only wear braces for about a year. We can give you a more accurate estimate of your treatment duration during your consultation.
